If you've ever traveled around the country or abroad, you probably noticed how beautiful all the different areas are. They're rarely the same for each has its own blend of unique landscapes and colors. Thoughts are very much the same.
Sometimes we venture out looking for new and different things to learn and grow and we look forward to it! That's beautiful! Sometimes we venture out and we have concern, worry and anxiety, otherwise known as "the beast".
The beast is all the negative thoughts that start small and sometimes can be almost overbearing! There's an expression, "Kill the beast while it's small!" The trick is what to do and how to do it!
The brain has two major components. The left brain is more analytical, didactic, linear and logical. The right brain is more creative, musical, and visionary. When the beast rears its ugly head, it's hard to outthink it! Instead, use the part of your brain that focuses on poetry, music, literature, pictures and your dreams...the right brain!
Buy a few magazines. Cut out the pictures that make you smile!
Put the pictures in your journal and look at them on a regular basis!
Make the focus of your thoughts your beautiful dreams...instead of the beast!
